A mini excursion to a nearby pond, not far away from the city ,provided a large amount of all types of microlife. On this page you will find pictures of rotifers (image 1 & 2), gastrotricha (3) and stylonchia (4 & 5). Magnification: 25x differential interference contrast objective .
The sample invited to use the higher magnification 50x oil immersion objective as well. Pictures taken with this objective are image 6 (Paramecium bursaria), 8 (rotifer to be identified) and 9 (cyclops larva). Image 7 is showing a Testate amoeba.
